Route 40/66 – Stewart’s Petrified Wood

On my way home from Santa Fe, NM, I discovered Exit 303… a plethora of goofy roadside attractions and it was there I found Stewart’s Petrified Wood.

What first caught my eye were the dinosaurs and the tiger… due to their size and proximity to Route 40. All the dinosaurs had female mannequins hanging from their mouths. One dinosaur (looks like a Brontosaurus) is wrapped in lots and lots of lights.

The dinosaurs are not the only items in / around the parking lot to capture your attention. I would be remiss not to mention the tiger, the ostriches and the old cars.

I recommend stopping for a stretch and a look.
